Spring Open Meeting

Tuesday March 23rd at 7.30pm
Queens Park Community Church

"Cyber-Bullying - a workshop for parents"

The aims of the workshop are :-

  • to raise awareness about how cyber-bullying differs from other forms of bullying and
  • to increase confidence in knowing how to support your child if they are caught up in cyber-bullying

This workshop is designed for the parents of primary school aged children but could be of benefit to those with children in years 7 & 8
Please help us in setting up the workshop by booking a place

The Charity "Beat Bullying" has just published its report "Virtual Violence- Protecting Children from Cyberbullying" and it shows that a third of children will suffer from cyberbullying and 1 in 13 will suffer prolonged cyberbullying. The speakers at this meeting will help parents to recognise the symptoms and the actions that they can take.

Tea on Tuesdays

Following requests from parents who have attended courses we are arranging informal drop-in sessions at Queens Park Community Church between 1pm and 2:30pm on the first Tuesday of each month

Why not pop in and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat? You can share your experiences since the course and hopefully pass on some tips from which we can all learn.
