Billericay Parents Forum is a registered charity that offers support to parents and carers of children and young people in the local area.
We promote positive parenting and aim to provide opportunities for everyone to share experiences through our courses, activities and membership which are open to all families and interested organisations in our community.
We have been successfully running positive parenting courses in the town since 2002. These have been enthusiastically received by over 800 parents who have attended, directly affecting well in excess of 1400 children.
A big feature of the organisation is that it is run ‘For parents, about parents, by parents’ and works in close partnership with local schools, extended schools, health visitors, school health advisers, Childrens Centres, churches and other members of the local community.
In addition to the courses, we organize termly "open" meetings on topics of interest to parents.
